Ellisons Solicitors and Independent Financial Advisers, Matthew Douglas Ltd would like to invite you to a seminar that will look at the key issues facing all of us on retirement.
The seminar will provide an insight into the latest legal & financial developments that have impacted upon estate planning and will look at ways to provide an income in retirement.
Focussing on the critical themes of "Preparation" and of "maximising the value of your legacy", we have divided the seminar into four key areas:
- Your Will
This will look at the basics. What you need to have in place and why you should regularly review. The problems that may occur if your will is not updated or is improperly drafted.
- Your House
This is often the biggest asset. We will look at the pros and cons of equity release, downsizing, tenancy in common agreements etc….
- Your Money
The Basic principles of Inheritance Tax mitigation.
How Inheritance Tax can be mitigated through the use of trusts and specific schemes.
- Your Family
Estate planning for the family, how and when to transfer wealth and the pros and cons.
The session will conclude with an opportunity to ask our panel of experts questions and there will be plenty of time for further conversation over tea.
There is no charge for this event but if you would like to make a donation to Ellisons Solicitor's nominated charity The Balkerne Gardens Trust *, please make cheques to "Balkerne Gardens Trust Limited"
